The Fiesta Blanca (White Party) is a fixture of the Nerja summer: every 14 August at night, El Salón beach, next to the Balcón de Europa, fills with local people and visitors dressed in white. It is organised by the town council’s youth department, and 2026 was its 17th edition.
What to expect
Music, performances, entertainment and a light and special-effects show on a small town beach, with the old fishermen’s houses as a backdrop. There are bars on the sand, awarded by the council each year.
Getting there
You reach El Salón beach down the alley next to the Iglesia de El Salvador. It is a small beach: arrive early and, if you are drinking, leave the car.

If you are going to the White Party on El Salón Beach, there are 2 car parks nearby:
- Balcón de Europa car park: this public car park is right under Plaza de España. It is paid and fully supervised.
- Giner de los Ríos car park: next to Plaza de España, with access from Calle Manuel Marín. It is free and unsupervised.
