Chiringuito Las Piedras

A beach chiringuito with a character of its own on Playa del Cañuelo, where honest seafood cooking and a top-notch team come together with a shaded terrace that invites you to stay

In 10 seconds

  • It is open every day, 11:30 to 19:00.
  • Most praised: Beautiful beachfront, shaded setting · Fresh fish and tasty food · Generous portions
  • Terrace · Kids welcome

Chiringuito Las Piedras is on El Cañuelo beach, the easternmost beach in Nerja, inside the Maro-Cerro Gordo Cliffs Natural Area. It is the best-rated beach bar in this area: 4.5 on Google from more than 1,000 reviews, and almost all of them mention the same thing, the shaded terrace with sea views surrounded by greenery.

What to order. The menu is fish and seafood: prawns, swordfish, grilled sea bass and kingklip, salads and paella, which is the most recommended dish. Portions are generous and you pay between €20 and €40 per person. Every table is in the shade, so you can have lunch at midday even in August.

The staff. This is what reviews mention most: friendly, attentive waiters whom many customers name. The complaints are occasional: slow service on the busiest days, the odd seafood dish that disappointed, and prices on the high side.

Opening hours and getting there. It opens from 11:30 to 19:00, for lunch and the afternoon only, and you can book (in high season it is best to). Access to El Cañuelo beach is regulated in the busiest months: before you go, check how to get down on the El Cañuelo beach page.

Where to park

Cañuelo Beach has a large free car park next to the N-340 road, a convenient option if you are visiting the beach by car.

👉 Tip:

Arrive early, especially in high season or at weekends, as the car park can fill up quickly. Otherwise you may have to leave your car on the main road, which means a longer walk to the beach.
