Procession of the patron saints
The Nerja Fair keeps strong ties with its traditions and its patron saints, the Virgen de las Angustias and San Miguel Arcángel.
One of the central events of the fiestas is the solemn procession of the patron saints on Saturday 10 October, which winds through the streets of Nerja accompanied by locals, visitors and music.
During the Fair, this religious event shares the spotlight with the concerts, popular activities and family gatherings that fill the town's streets every year.
Daytime fair in Nerja town centre
The Fair is not limited to the fairground. During these days, the town centre, Plaza de España, the area around the Balcón de Europa and Plaza Tutti Frutti play a big part in the programme.
The Nerja Daytime Fair 2026 fills the centre with atmosphere, music and activities. Bars, terraces and streets become meeting points for enjoying tapas, raciones, live music and the festive mood.
Daytime fair in Plaza Tutti Frutti
From 9 to 12 October, Plaza Tutti Frutti is one of the meeting points of the Nerja Daytime Fair, with live music, food, dancing and a fair atmosphere.
The programme announced for Plaza Tutti Frutti during the Nerja Fair 2026 is as follows:
- Friday 9 October: Lumbre Mestiza.
- Saturday 10 October: Proyecto Mandarina.
- Sunday 11 October: Tribute to Manuel Carrasco, with some of the artist's greatest hits.
- Monday 12 October: Deyavú, with a tribute to Fondo Flamenco, Los Rebujitos and Andy & Lucas to close the Fair.
During these days, the Plaza Tutti Frutti area combines live music, dancing, food and a festive atmosphere, offering another way to enjoy the Fair before heading on to the fairground or the concerts in Plaza de España.
Venue: Plaza Tutti Frutti, Nerja.
Nerja Fair: 8 to 12 October 2026.
Performances in Plaza Tutti Frutti: 9 to 12 October.
Besides Plaza Tutti Frutti, there were children's activities, performances by local groups and other live music in other spaces, taking the celebration to different parts of central Nerja.
Night-time fair and fairground
As evening falls, much of the action moves to the Nerja fairground, where the marquees (casetas) and rides take centre stage.
The night-time fair has something for every age and lets you combine the rides with the concerts and shows held elsewhere in town.
Ride prices at the Nerja Fair 2026
One of the highlights of this edition is reduced prices on the rides throughout the Fair.
- 8 to 11 October: €3.50 per ride.
- 12 October – Children's Day: €2 per ride.
Monday 12 October is therefore one of the best days to visit the fairground with children, thanks to the special prices and the family programme during the day.
A more accessible and inclusive Nerja Fair
The Nerja Fair 2026 also includes measures to help people with different sensory needs enjoy the rides.
Every day there is a music blackout at the fairground between 19:00 and 21:00.
During those two hours the noise from the rides is reduced, a measure aimed especially at helping people with functional, hearing and sensory disabilities to take part.
What to eat during the Nerja Fair
The Fair is also a great opportunity to enjoy Nerja's food. The bars and restaurants in the centre, together with the casetas, let you mix the programme with tapas, raciones and sharing plates.
Pescaíto frito (fried fish), espetos at the places that make them, tapas and traditional sweets are some of the options to round off a day at the Fair.
On the busiest days, especially at the weekend, it is a good idea to arrive early if you want to eat at the most popular places in the centre.
Tips for enjoying the Nerja Fair 2026
- Arrive early for the concerts: the main shows are free and can draw big crowds to Plaza de España.
- If you are coming with children: Monday 12 is Children's Day, with €2 rides and the Beauty and the Beast Musical Tribute.
- If you need a quieter atmosphere: the fairground has a daily music blackout from 19:00 to 21:00.
- Plan your parking: central Nerja gets very busy during the Fair, especially during the daytime fair and the concerts.
