Parador de Nerja is the Paradores chain hotel in Nerja: a four-star hotel on the clifftop above Burriana beach (Calle Almuñécar 8), about a 10-minute walk from the Balcón de Europa. It is one of the best-rated places to stay in town, scoring 4.6 on Google and 4.5 on Tripadvisor, with more than 2,000 reviews on each.

Before you book. The Parador is closed for a full renovation, with reopening planned for October 2027. Check the date on the Paradores website before planning your stay.

What it is like. Guests remember the sea views from the cliff, the lawned gardens and the lift that goes straight down to Burriana beach. All rooms are spacious, with air conditioning, TV, minibar and a balcony or terrace overlooking the sea or the town. There is an outdoor pool with sun loungers, tennis courts, a restaurant whose food is highly praised, a café and bar, massages and parking in front of the hotel.

Practical details. Check-in from 14:00 and check-out by 12:00; no pets. If the Parador is still closed, hotels in Nerja has alternatives near Burriana and the Balcón.
