Bar Redondo is one of the best-known tapas bars in Nerja. It is at Calle de la Gloria 10, about 300 metres from the Balcón de Europa, and is named after its circular bar. Outside there is a terrace with wine barrels used as tables. It has more than 5,200 Google reviews with a 4.3 rating (4.1 on Tripadvisor).

Choose your tapa. This is what made it famous: with every drink you pick a tapa from a list, so a couple of rounds make a very cheap dinner. Among the most praised are the flambéed chorizo and the patatas bravas, and there are also sharing plates. Expect to pay €10-20 per person.

Opening hours. It opens every day from 12:00 to midnight, without closing in the afternoon, which is handy if you arrive at odd times. You can book, though most people just turn up and wait for a table.

Good to know. When it is full, which in summer is almost always, service is slow and sometimes the free tapa doesn't arrive: ask for it when you order your drink.
