Marisquería La Marina is a casual seafood restaurant at Calle Castilla Pérez 20, about 450 metres from the Balcón de Europa, on the west side of Nerja's centre. It has almost 3,800 Google reviews with a 4.1 rating and is popular with locals and visitors alike.

What to order. Fresh fish and seafood cooked simply: clams, fried fish (also gluten-free), Galician-style octopus, scallops pil pil, squid and paella. It is a good place for tapas in the evening, and a tapa comes with your drink. Portions are generous and you pay €10-20 per person. There is a children's menu and a terrace.

Opening hours. It opens 12:00-16:00 and 20:00-23:00 every day except Wednesday, when it is closed. You can book, and in summer it is worth doing: waiting for a table is one of the most common complaints.

What reviews say. On the plus side: fresh produce, prices and quick service on most visits. On the minus side: some complaints about the manner of certain staff and unexpected supplements on the bill, so ask about the price of seafood sold by weight first. Where to park

There are several free car parks nearby while you enjoy a delicious meal at La Marina. Here are two nearby options:

  1. Verano Azul car park: close to the Plaza La Marina seafood restaurant. It is a convenient, free option for our customers. We recommend parking here and enjoying a short walk to the restaurant.
  2. Giner de los Ríos car park: another free car park near our restaurant, where you can leave your vehicle safely at no extra cost while you enjoy the best tapas.

Both Nerja car parks are ideal if you want to visit without worrying about finding a parking space. Bear in mind that availability varies with the season and time of day, so we suggest arriving early to make sure you get a space.
